Route 12 will delight nature lovers, as it crosses the wildest and most untouched part of Kastellorizo, an area of pristine natural beauty. It begins on the French Path and ends just north of Cape Pounentis, passing above the famous Blue Cave. Along the way, hikers encounter many rock-cut ancient wine presses and countless carob trees, their deep green foliage standing out among the kermes oaks and low Mediterranean scrub.
