Route 7 is the most popular hiking trail on Kastellorizo. It ascends through the settlement’s narrow stone-paved lanes before continuing along a beautifully constructed cobbled path with 400 stone steps, offering magnificent views over the harbor. The route culminates at the Monastery-Fortress of Saint George of the Mountain, built in 1759, one of the island’s most important cultural landmarks.
