Route 8 is an excellent alternative to Route 7. It climbs to the Avlonia Plateau via a well-built cobbled path with stone steps, offering superb views along the way. On the Avlonia Plateau, the trail passes by the ancient cemetery with its rock-cut tombs, as well as ancient structures and numerous ancient wine presses, providing a fascinating glimpse into the island’s past.
