Route 9 is one of the most beautiful hiking routes on Kastellorizo. From Cape Nifti to the Avlonia Plateau, hikers walk along sections of a beautiful old stone-built path. From the plateau, the trail continues past old agricultural estates with stone enclosures and ruins of rural houses, while the views toward the open sea are breathtaking. The route ends near the ancient cemetery with its rock-cut tombs and ancient wine presses.
